Analogue Game Concept in progress
Focus
Social Deduction & Narrative Design
Description
The Last Course is a narrative-driven murder mystery dinner
designed for six players.
Each player takes on a role within a conflicted family,
where hidden relationships, personal motives, and power dynamics
shape the outcome of the evening.
Instead of solving a fixed puzzle, players uncover the truth
through interaction, suspicion, and social pressure.
The Concept
Each character holds unique knowledge, secrets, and motivations.
There is no single perspective on the truth.
The experience unfolds through conversation,
accusations, and shifting alliances.
Players must decide:
what to reveal,
what to hide,
and who to trust.
Core Moment
At the center of the experience is a pivotal moment:
A dish is served.
Suspicion is raised.
A decision is made.
Moments later, someone collapses.
This event shifts the game from social tension
to active investigation.
Core Systems
Role-based Information Distribution
Each player knows something different.
No one has the full picture.
Social Deduction
Players must interpret behavior, statements, and contradictions.
Player-driven Narrative
The story emerges through interaction,
not scripted sequences.
Trust & Pressure
Players influence each other through accusation, persuasion, and alliances.
Player Experience
Players are constantly navigating between trust and suspicion.
Every statement can be truthful, misleading, or strategic.
The experience creates tension through uncertainty,
as players attempt to reconstruct the truth
while protecting their own position.
